Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every booking made with Riva Adventures, operated by [Legal entity name], [Registered office address, Bengaluru, Karnataka] ("Riva", "we", "us"). By sending a deposit you accept them on behalf of everyone in your booking.

1. What we sell

We arrange international and domestic adventure tours: accommodation, transport, guides, activities and meals as listed in your written itinerary. Most tours are run by third-party tour operators. Your itinerary names the operator, and the operator's own booking terms also apply.

2. Quotes and prices

  • Quotes are valid for 7 days and are subject to availability until confirmed.
  • Prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable GST and TCS unless the quote says otherwise. Prices for tours abroad can change with exchange rates until the booking is confirmed.
  • Inclusions and exclusions are listed on each quote. Anything not listed is not included.

3. Booking and payment

  • A booking is confirmed when we receive the deposit stated on your quote and send a written confirmation.
  • The balance is due 21 days before departure. For bookings made within 21 days of departure, full payment is due at booking.
  • Online payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway. We do not store your card details.

4. Changes by you

We will try to accommodate changes to dates, names or travellers. Changes may carry supplier charges, which we pass on at cost. Reducing the number of travellers is treated as a partial cancellation under our cancellation policy.

5. Changes by us

Weather, wildlife department rules, road closures or supplier issues sometimes force changes. We will offer an alternative of equal or higher standard. If we cancel a trip for reasons within our control, you receive a full refund.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Every traveller needs a passport valid for at least six months beyond the return date, plus the visas and vaccinations the destination requires. We give visa guidance, but the visa decision rests with the destination's authorities.
  • Tell us about medical conditions, mobility needs or dietary requirements before booking.
  • Follow the instructions of guides and local staff, especially on treks, rides, drives and safaris. For self-drive trips you need a valid Indian licence and an International Driving Permit.

7. Insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies and personal belongings.

8. Liability

We choose suppliers with care, but we are not liable for loss, injury or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, strikes, government action or the acts of third parties. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for it, except where Indian law does not allow such a limit.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
